You bought something after clicking an offer on RefurbMe, and the seller reported that purchase to us. When that happens, RefurbMe sends you one email, "How was your RefurbMe experience?", asking you to review RefurbMe on Trustpilot. You get it at most once, and you don't have to answer it.
Why did I get this email?
When you click an offer on RefurbMe and buy on the seller's website, the seller tells us about the sale so it can pay us a small commission. That is how RefurbMe stays free, as explained in how RefurbMe makes money. If we have your email address, for example from a price alert or the deal digest, we use that report to send you the review email.
You get this email once, however many purchases you make through RefurbMe.
Is the review about the seller or the product?
Neither. The review is about RefurbMe, the site you used to find the deal. Questions about your order, delivery or warranty go to the seller you bought from.
Why will Trustpilot also email me?
Our email goes out with a blind copy to Trustpilot, a review website. Trustpilot then sends you its own invitation to write a verified review of RefurbMe. It can arrive a few days after ours. The "Review RefurbMe" button in our email opens the Trustpilot review page straight away if you would rather not wait.
What does Trustpilot receive?
Trustpilot receives your email address, your name if we have one, and the order reference from the seller's report. It also receives a copy of our email, which does not name the product, the price or the seller. Trustpilot uses this data on our behalf to send the invitation. The privacy policy has the details.
Do I have to leave a review?
No. You can ignore both emails, and nothing changes on your account, your price alerts or the deal digest. If you do write a review, Trustpilot publishes it on its own site under its own rules. If you have a question about this email, contact us.
