RefurbMe shows the price each seller listed the last time we checked their offer. We check most sellers at least twice a day, so if a seller changes a price between two checks, the price you see after clicking through can be higher or lower. The price at the seller's checkout is the one that applies.

Where do RefurbMe's prices come from?

We don't sell anything ourselves. Every price on RefurbMe comes from the seller that lists the offer. We read some sellers' prices straight from their own site. Many others send us their prices in a file instead, and that file only changes when the seller sends a new one. It can be a day or more behind the seller's site.

If a check fails, we keep showing the last price we read for a few days rather than drop the offer. During that time the seller's site can move ahead of us.

Why did the price change when I clicked through?

The most common reasons:

  • The seller changed the price after our last check. Sellers reprice often, and their page shows the new price before RefurbMe does.
  • The offer sold out. An offer stays on RefurbMe at its last price until our next successful check of that seller, then it disappears.
  • The seller's page opened on another option. When a seller has several offers at the same condition, we show its cheapest one. The seller's page can open on a dearer storage size, color or condition, so check those before you compare.
  • Shipping. Our prices never include shipping, which we show separately. The seller adds it at checkout.
  • Rounding. We round every price down to the whole dollar, pound or euro, so $415.99 shows as $415.

We don't apply coupons, member prices or app-only discounts. If the seller offers you one, your price can be lower than ours.

Can RefurbMe honor the price it showed?

No. The sale happens on the seller's site, between you and the seller, so we can't change a seller's price or match a price we showed earlier. If the price at checkout is not the one you want, you don't have to buy: compare the other offers for the same model on RefurbMe.

How do I report a wrong price?

Use the contact form with the "A wrong price or listing" topic. Paste the link to the RefurbMe page and tell us what the seller's site shows. We check the listing and fix it if our data is wrong.
